Let’s take a few minutes
to introduce ourselves. There are surely some advantages to knowing one
another. Let’s be a little chatty. Let’s express our ideas
and our emotions. Do we have fears, expectations, wishes? Allow me to
introduce myself. I have several years of experience as a tutor and mathematics
teacher. I have expectations regarding the results of the structure of
this course. Will the readings and interactive exercises facilitate your
learning? Will the various chat rooms increase your motivation and create
a feeling of belonging to a group? It’s you, during this course,
who will answer these questions. What do you want to know before starting
this course? Is this course difficult? Do my students obtain good results?
Ask your questions, I will answer.
Now it’s your turn to introduce yourself. Here are some ideas. Why are you registered in this course? Are you taking other courses? Where? Do you have math phobia? How much time do you plan to study every week? Are you disciplined in your studies ? Are you in the habit of working alone or with others ? Do you wish to get acquainted with the people in your group and do you want them to know you? What do you want to know about the people registered in this course? Other subjects? Paula |

Hi everybody
My name is Sophie and I live in Edmundston, New Brunswick. I’ve been working for a few years already but I never finished my DCS in industrial engineering. This math course is the only one missing for me to get my diploma. I am therefore taking advantage of my maternity leave to take it. It isn’t easy, the nights are short!! Good luck to everybody!!! Hello you.
Don’t worry, it’s doable. I am the mother of a 2-year-old girl and I work full time. I didn’t do any math for about 7 years. I admit that at the beginning I had trouble getting into gear. But, it’s not too long before you get in the swing of things… Good luck Catherine |

It’s the first time that I take a course where I’ll be able
to ask questions and talk to people by Internet. I must say that it’s
the second time that I do this. It’s frustrating. I thought I’d
be able to do it while working 35 hours a week, but that’s a big
mistake that I made. ?
However, I’m not bad at math. Anyway, if anybody needs help, I can always try to help you although I’ll have to review my notes :) I’m from Quebec City. Is there anybody from my area in the course? See you soon. Ciao. Steve |
