That’s it… At last I’m on holiday!!!
Hello group!
I passed the exam with a great mark… What beautiful pay!!! Yes, pay, because I have to work hard to get good results. I invested about 170 hours (including review for the exam). I always have to follow the learning process (reading, examples, exercises, review, self-evaluation) to succeed in mastering the subject matter.
I really liked using the Internet. It was much less boring than working only with a book. Plus, the subject matter on the Internet was much simpler and clearer to understand. I loved the experience. I was eager, every day, to go and see what was happening in the chat rooms. We feel much less alone. If I had do it again, I wouldn’t hesitate for one second. However, I’m still not so adventuresome on the Internet.

Thank you for your concern, your motivation, how quickly you corrected the assignments, and especially for that little something that we feel, a link, warmth, a feeling of belonging.
It’s still kinda special to achieve that using a computer network. (I have a friend who did the course without the Internet. The relationship with her real-life tutor was less warm than our virtual interactions).

Hi Paula,
What helped me the most were the discussion chat rooms and the fact that it was easy to get in touch with you using the Net when I had a question. Your answer was quick and helped me to continue my progress as fast as possible, and if the question was not that clear, I could ask you another question without waiting. I find that the Internet course is a very good idea because with the course notes and interactive exercises on the site, we get a lot of help in understanding the subject matter. Actually, it’s all of that that helped me to succeed in the course. Thanks for helping me in my process and to pass my course.

I liked doing the course by correspondence. It was much harder than I thought at the beginning and I had to put in a lot more time than I planned… the course is very well done. I’m actually surprised to see that such a heavy course as Math 103 can be done on the Net. Congratulations!

First, I must congratulate you for the excellent work that you do. Your speed in responding and the clarity of the explanations that you give were really what I was hoping for (and even more). Plus, I congratulate you on understanding some of the questions stated by students in what could barely pass as English. Sometimes I had to read a question from the chat room twice before I could think of understanding its meaning…
As for the course, interactive exercises, presentations, it was well designed and the subject matter was well presented. I think that the student who wants to succeed and puts in the required time can succeed. All the tools are there, you just have to feel like using them. However, there are some exercises that I would have liked to have had the development of certain exercises to facilitate my learning (but I ended up figuring it out… pedagogical objective!). The final exam was not easy but I feel like I made it.
