College-level program structure
A program is a set of courses designed to develop all the competencies required for university studies (pre-university programs) or for a job (technical programs). At the present time, Cégep à distance only offers programs leading to a DCS/DEC or ACS/AEC in French.
DCS/DEC – Diploma of College Studies/Diplôme d’études collégiales
Pre-University Programs
Pre-university programs prepare students for university and lead to a DCS/DEC for a particular concentration.
Technical Programs
Technical programs prepare students for the job market and lead to a DCS/DEC for a particular specialization.
Structure of a DSC/DEC program
All programs that lead to a Diploma of College Studies (DCS/DEC) have the same structure:
